i got a board on friday and tested it on the slopes on saturday. mmm new board twas fun stuff. ok, i'll refrain from the usual extensive snowboarding discussion now.

in other news, i had a disturbing accidental encounter with a dead animal yesterday. i was in the driveway of a house, tiptoe-ing around the ice in the middle of the driveway. then i saw what was stuck in the middle of the ice -- a marmalade-colored cat with bright blue eyes staring at me. it was frozen to death. the most disturbing sight. poor kitty.
