its the first of the month (does anyone else sing that song in their head when they read those words?) and time for my monthly accomplishments and objectives. i just finished writing my work ones, so i thought i'd revisit my personal ones.

MY OBJECTIVES FOR OCTOBER WERE:
- Get out of last place in Yahoo ffl team: DONE! I'm in 12th place (out of 16).
- Maintain high ranking in ESPN ffl team: Not bad. Second place.
- Consistently go to the gym so no longer feel like heifer: I've been going twice a week. Once, on bad weeks. This is huge for me; must keep it up.
- Update resume and start applying for jobs: Done, kinda. And I applied to a few (only the ones that I didn't have to write cover letters for). The exciting thing is that I applied for a job at Burton (in Vermont) doing exactly what I do now. I doubt they'll call me though but who knows.
- Begin making more profit from poker: Eh. I haven't had a loss, so that's good.
- Reinforce TV stand so its no longer sitting in middle of dining room: Still in my dining room, but I bought the supplies to reinforce the stand! I need some manual laborers (plural) to help me finish the task.
- Finish decorating my place so things are no longer piled on the floor: I cleaned at my old room at home and brought stuff to my place so now there's more stuff piled up on the floor. Productive but not productive at the same time.
- Win lotto so i can pay off debts: haha. i bought a ticket and that's that.
- Start snowboarding: 18 more days!

now with that in mind... OBJECTIVES FOR NOVEMBER:
- Reinforce TV stand and put it in its place
- Make serious advancements in finishing my home decor
- Successfully teach Jero how to snowboard and convert others to the sport
- Talk with Jason about my finances and how to better manage them
- Plan holiday party and reserve cabin for january tahoe trip
- Follow through with my volunteer plans for Taproot Foundation
- Hang out with some girls or, better yet, bring some new ones out to meet my guy friends
- Keep going to the gym
- Stay at the top of ESPN league and keep moving from bottom of Yahoo league
- Have a happy thanksgiving

i think i'll postpone the job search to 2006 since I think more folks will hire post-holiday. Or i'll just stick to the half-assed approach til 2006 hits.
