(warning: this is a cheesy one.)

out with the old and in with the new, the saying goes. 2002 was truly an embodiment of that. last year at this time, i was content, but not necessarily happy, with the way things were. last spring semester was tough. i remember feeling like i was stuck on a plateau... nothing could get better, nothing could get worse... there was nowhere to go but forward. but then may came and everything changed.

the decision to come home for the summer was the smartest one i've made. not only did i party like a rock star and act embarrassing on multiple occassions, but i also managed to establish new friendships and renew my old ones.

since then, everything has only gotten better. i look forward to starting the new year with new goals, new experiences and a new outlook. i guess if i had to make new years resolutions they would be: to be more patient and to find a job. i'd like to be picky about the latter, but for now, i'll keep an open mind.

anyway, to end this cheese, i just wanna say: thanks everyone for making 2002 memorable for me. lets continue making these memories for 2003.
