i hate when good weekends come to an end. this one especially. my last full weekend home sure was a busy one. graduations, parties, drunkenness, more parties, and basically hangin out with the friends i both love and hate. (the "lets make fun of eileen cuz she's home now" vibe is the best. ha.)
ray and van came up north again and it still blows me away that these boys were once strangers. just a few years ago, i introduced van to everyone, in hope that my very tight-knit group would take him in. then last year, i did the same with ray and mikey. little did i know they'd all become inseparable. its heartwarming, really.
and in the aire of welcoming new folks, we began the long, tedious initiation process for cat's BOYFRIEND (finally i can say that)...carlton. i swear the way to gain acceptance by us is simply by embarrassing yourself (ie. doing "the carlton" and military sit-ups) and by being willing to take hits to both your ego and your body (ahem, beer binge-ing, football and dogpiles). (take note to anyone who thinks they can hang with us.) good luck, carlton.
all in all, it's nice to be back. i love the weather and the time with my friends (sometimes). but i definitely hate the manual labor my parents assign me, my lack of transportation, the 'curfew' implied upon my living at home, and most of all, the fact that i only have about 5 days left before i go back. =(
