man, i have been horrible with my blogs. absolutely horrible. its like email newsletters i receive, with every intention of reading -- once a number of them pile up, i'm too lazy to go back and reread everything i missed. now i'm so behind recording the events of the past 2 months that i don't even know where to start.
several times i had started a blog about my whole whistler trip, but i never finished. in fact, its sitting in my blogger box saved as a draft. i could post it, but then it'll be unfinished and what fun is that? i guess i'll post it anyway and you'll see part of it below this entry. the only things worth mentioning about whistler is this:
- i had a very embarrassing incident involving myself and a t-bar. i now forever hate t-bars.
- whistler was amazing and we need to do more boarding trips, more often.
- beaver tails are yummy.
- it was nice to spend some quality time with the cousins.
now, fast forward a bit -- after whistler was rich's boat party, but i think there have been enough blogs and photo documentation of that event that i don't really need to blog about it. then the next most eventful trip to report was my journey down to Socal for the Electronic Entertainment Expo -- E3 2006. in brief, here is my recap:
- put my liver to the test with 5 straight days of drinking. goes to show how much my stamina has decreased.
- saw micheal madsen, incubus, tony hawk and steven speilberg. missed seeing jason biggs, paris hilton, bill gates and 50 cent.
- once again confirmed that sony throws the greatest parties and gives the coolest schwag (spelling?).
- convention highlights: the nintendo wii display and activision's halfpipe.
- i forgot my camera, unfortunately, so all the memories are left in my head.
post-E3, i spent the weekend chillin with some socalians:
- friday night, jeng, cat and i had dinner with mikey, carmen, jj and jeff. jeff threw up. i passed out in front of pinks.
- saturday, cat and i drove down to SD to spend some quality time with elaine before she moved to colorado. we bummed around, took a nap on the beach, went on a trek to find a place for a mani/pedi. i came down with a fever, but we went out to the "strip club" (a steakhouse) for dinner anyway.
- sunday, drove back up from SD. intended to shop at revolve's warehouse but ended up chilling with jeff instead. cat cracked my back for me at jeff's house. jeff missed pictures of that. haha.
so that was that. a brief recap of my life since the last blog. now what? well, its summer. i want to be excited about that but for once, i have no trips planned so i'm not as excited as i used to be. i'm working on planning a camping trip over the fourth of july weekend. and i have a good amount of local destinations i'd like to hit up. overall, it seems like a chill summer is in store for me. which is cool. i don't mind that. maybe i'll squeeze in a trip to vegas or new york, maybe not.
work is work. i should find a new job, i know i should, but my boss makes me feel so guilty for wanting to leave. she's trying to get me to stay and with my review this month, hopefully we can negotiate something. i have volleyball after work, volunteer work in my free time, and now i'm starting a side business with my parents to make some extra money. busy busy eileen. but i am getting a new computer soon, i think. woohoo!
ok, that's a good enough summary for now. but before i end this blog, i must wish some happy birthdays to folks i love very much:
- happy birthday bev!!! (may 24)
- happy birthday e!!! (may 28)
- happy birthday cat!!! (june 1)
until next time...
