i can't believe what happened to me tonight. so we went to this bar for ivy's birthday (happy belated birthday ivy!). the bouncer takes my id and says, "smile." i smile. then he says, "this doesn't look like you." so he makes me stand off to the side. not to sound vain or anything, but i thought he was trying to hit on me because why else would he keep my id and tell me to stand on the side? he couldn't be serious.

the rest of my friends went inside except for me and one of my friends with a bad fake id. and the bouncer goes, "so what are we goin to do with you two?"

i said, "ARE YOU SERIOUS? you HAVE to be kidding me!!!"

he said, "sorry, but this doesn't look like you." and he holds it up next to my face.

i was outraged. "hello! i was 16 in that picture! is it my hair, cuz i chopped it off? or maybe cuz i'm wearing a hat?" i could not believe he was serious. but he WAS. i showed him my NYU id and i still think he only partially believed me. he let us in, but for the rest of the night i was OUTRAGED. i mean seriously!! i'm finally legal, using a totally real id and the stupid bouncer doesn't even believe that's me on my id?! how could it NOT look like me, i look like i'm 16 still. RIDICULOUS. absolutely ridiculous. GRRRR....

on a lighter note, we went ice skating in central park today. surprised to find out i remember how to skate, and did pretty well in fact. even kinda learned how to skate backward. keep your fingers crossed that i can get the pictures up this weekend. i'll do my best.
