you go around, under, on top of...scaffolding. in new york city, it's everywhere and often for long periods of time. it becomes such a part of the landscape that you hardly think twice when strolling over its rickety pieces of plywood. then it disappears and a sidewalk takes its place. you think, i never knew that was there. o, dear scaffolding, how i miss thee. or not.
